Baby First Aid

Would you know what to do in an emergency with your baby?

NCT recognises how important it is for parents to have basic first aid skills and the confidence to use them in an emergency. However rare it is for accidents to happen, it's great to know you're prepared to cope if you need to.

The British Red Cross are one of the leading providers of first aid training in the UK, training around 325,000 people each year. The British Red Cross and NCT have worked together to create a bespoke baby first aid course to enable parents and carers to become confident first aiders.

Who should come to a baby First aid course?

The NCT baby first aid courses are suitable for parents, expectant parents and carers of babies and young children. The course covers First Aid techniques for babies (0-1yrs) and children (1-12yrs). Babies in arms are welcome to attend with adults - up to the age of 6 months.

The course lasts for 2.5 hours and the content includes:

  •     Loss of consciousness and CPR
  •     Choking
  •     Bleeding
  •     Burns
  •     High Temperatures
  •     Meningitis

The cost of the course is £40 per person or £70 per couple.
